Phase 1: Post-Application

• How long will it take to receive updates on my application?
  The response time varies depending on the specialty and the country from which you apply. Generally, we aim to provide a response within 5 days of your application.
• Will I receive a response if I am not selected?
  We strive to respond to all applications, but due to the high volume, it may not always be possible to provide a response if you do not qualify for the next phase.
• What if I can't attend my interview date?
  If you have trouble attending the proposed date, we recommend contacting your recruiter to find an alternative that suits both parties better. Normally, we'll offer you a selection of dates to choose from based on your availability.

Phase 2: Interview and Preparation

• Will the interview be in person or online?
  The interview will be conducted online via WhatsApp or Google Meet.
• Will the interview be conducted in English?
  Yes, there will be two online interviews conducted in English with Antonella and Julieta. It is necessary to have a fluent and/or conversational level of English to participate.
• Do I need to undergo a practical test to demonstrate my skills in my work area?
  Yes, after your first interview, your recruiter will instruct you on how to carry out your practical test and your personal presentation in English. You will need to submit the links for review before your final interview.
• How should I dress for the interview?
  For the interview, it's essential to dress professionally, neat, and elegant. We highly value appearance in a professional environment. Aim for a fresh and well-groomed appearance. Discreet makeup, well-groomed nails, and covering tattoos are recommended to project a strong professional presence.

Additionally, you'll have access to the LWA Pre-learning portal, where you'll undergo online training before arriving at our training centres.

• What to expect during the training?
  The training focuses on preparing you for maritime life. Although it can be challenging, we are here to ensure you have the necessary skills, techniques, and confidence to excel during your contract.
• What if I don't pass?
  Our goal is to provide you with all opportunities for success. If, together, we determine that you need more preparation, we will offer you additional time with an individualised focus.

  You need to have your own medical and travel insurance.
• Accommodation: Is my place already reserved?
  Yes, your reservation is made upon receiving your acceptance letter and terms of the Training Programme, once you've submitted your documents.
• How much luggage can I bring?
  We recommend a maximum of 20 kilograms due to airline regulations.
• How much money will I need?
  It's important to have enough funds for additional expenses, especially considering that London can be expensive. If you choose to train in Argentina, costs are usually lower compared to other places.
• When will my medical examination be?
  If your training is in London, it will be during the first day of training.
• Is there Wi-Fi at the academy?
  Yes, we have free Wi-Fi.
• What should I pack for the academy?
  Pack your luggage as if it were for a two-week vacation.
• Will I be able to go home before boarding the ship?
  Once the training is finished, you'll proceed directly to the ship.
• Will we work on weekends?
  It depends on the training programme, but most will have activities during the weekend.
• Are personal lockers provided at the academy?
